Micro Mobility

Donations

Mobility for everyone. We believe in giving back — to communities, to children, to the planet.

Making a difference one contribution at a time

As a Swiss family business, fairness and social responsibility are cornerstones of everything we do. We are committed to making a difference — locally and globally — through meaningful donations, partnerships and initiatives that create real, lasting impact for people and planet.

Empowering Mobility off-road wheelchairs for Mexico

Our Access Project "Off-Road Wheelchairs for Mexico" is a tangible representation of our belief in "Mobility for everyone." We donated 100 Leveraged Freedom Chair (LFC) wheelchairs to individuals with mobility impairments in Mexico — advanced all-terrain wheelchairs developed by GRIT, a company of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, assembled locally to create job opportunities in Mexico.

The elevated seat and lever-driven design allow effortless movement on rough terrain, dirt tracks and off-road. For many recipients, it meant leaving home independently for the first time.

«With the wheelchairs, we want to give a new life to some of whom could never leave their homes due to their limited mobility.» — Wim Ouboter, Founder & CEO, Micro Mobility Systems

Empowering Young athletes - Our partnership with MS Sports Camp

We are proud to sponsor Micro Scooters for the MS Sports Camps lunch races in Switzerland. MS Sports provides over 16,000 children aged 6–15 with a memorable sports camp experience across 409 camps at 254 locations throughout Switzerland — combining exercise, great coaching, and loads of fun.

By putting Micro Scooters in the hands of young riders, we hope to inspire a lifelong love of active, sustainable mobility.

Micro Scooters for hospitals

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we recognized the critical need for medical professionals to move quickly through hospital corridors. We donated over 100 scooters to hospitals across Switzerland. The response was overwhelmingly positive — and we're proud to hear that many are still in use today, helping staff navigate efficiently every day.

Micro x Right To Play

Through the 1% for the Planet initiative, Micro donates 1% of all ECO Kids Scooter sales to environmental and social projects — including Right To Play, an organization that empowers children through the power of play.

Right To Play protects, educates, and empowers children to rise above adversity using the power of play. For 25 years, they have been a global leader in helping children learn and improve their well-being — reaching millions of children each year in some of the most difficult places on earth, helping them to stay in school, resist exploitation, overcome prejudice, heal from trauma, and develop the skills they need to thrive.

Suisse @ UNESCO — Diplomacy on Wheels

A public diplomacy project with Swiss innovation, smart mobility and design for a sustainable future — powered by Micro.

Benedikt Wechsler, the newly appointed Permanent Delegate of Switzerland to UNESCO in Paris, embarked on two meaningful journeys with the Microlino. On his first tour, he travelled across Switzerland to experience first-hand the diverse UNESCO World Heritage Sites and other UNESCO destinations in the country — promoting Swiss innovation and expertise for a sustainable future.

In a second tour, he drove the Microlino from Bern to Paris, where he will be based for the next four years. The Microlino now serves as his official diplomatic vehicle with a CD licence plate, representing Swiss design, innovation and a forward-looking vision of sustainable mobility on an international stage. The Microlino also supported Switzerland in the run-up to the elections for the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in November 2025 in Paris.

«There is a saying: you never get a second chance to make a first impression. And I believe I succeeded on this trip — not only because people truly appreciated that it was the first time an ambassador visited them, but also because I arrived in such a likeable vehicle: the Microlino.» — Benedikt Wechsler, Permanent Delegate of Switzerland to UNESCO
