Scooter pioneer Wim Ouboter and Airboard founder Joe Steiner will jointly launch the Ultralight SUP in spring 2019. The inflatable Stand Up Paddle with a revolutionary pump system sets new standards in terms of weight and pack size. The innovative concept has been awarded the ISPO Award 2019 in the Outdoor category.

The common passion for quality, exclusive design and the search for the unconventional brought together the two successful Swiss brands Micro Mobility Systems and Airboard - the result: an ultra-light all-round and touring SUP. Thanks to the use of the latest materials and the sophisticated deck pad design, weight and volume could be reduced by 50% compared to a conventional SUP.  Another innovation is the waterproof pump bag. This serves as a pump for the basic volume of the SUP, the remaining volume is generated with a smaller pump. At the same time, the SUP bag serves as a practical dry bag.

The combined know-how of both companies was skillfully applied in the development process: Airboard has specialized in inflatable sports products for over 18 years whereas Micro has exceptional expertise in the manufacture of practical, space-saving and environmentally friendly mobility products.

The new SUP concept has already been voted Gold Winner in the water sports category at ISPO 2019, the world's largest trade fair for sports equipment and fashion in Munich. From April 2019, this world innovation will be distributed through the Swiss trade of Micro and Airboard as well as through Micro's global distribution network.
