Sun, sea and exciting driver duels at the harbour - on May 11th the FIA Formula E Championship returned to the streets of Monaco for the ninth race of the 2018/19 season. The highlight of the supporting programme: the Micro Scooter Race Track Takeover led by the Microlino.

"Battery instead of petrol" is the motto of the FIA Formula E. By using electric racing cars, it promotes sustainable mobility and thus supports the fight against climate change. The same vision is shared by the Swiss scooter pioneer and founder of Micro Mobility Systems AG, Wim Ouboter. With the Micro Scooter he became world famous in 1997. Today, together with his sons Oliver and Merlin, he builds electric city scooters in a retro look.

The Formula E and Micro not only represent the same basic values such as sustainability, efficiency and technological progress. They want to make CO2-neutral mobility accessible to everyone and sensitize people on the topic. In Monaco they offered the spectators the opportunity for an exclusive "test drive" on the official race track. Equipped with Micro scooters, 100 children and adults were able to take a closer look at the 1.76 kilometre long city race track on the Cote d'Azur. They were led by the Microlino as the "Safety Car".

The Micro Race Track Takeover at Formula E has already taken place for the second time and, just like last year at the e-Prix in Zurich, it was met with great enthusiasm.
