The history of Micro

The success story of the Micro Mobility Systems AG began as a matter of convenience.The inventor of the micro®Scooter, Wim Ouboter, found the route to his favourite snack stand too far to walk there. But it was also not far enough to go and fetch his bicycle or even his car from the garage.

He developed a vehicle out of this "necessity", which made the way easier for him, without incurring major expenditure. It was to be light and simple to drive. Besides that it should be possibe to fold it together so that it could be easily stored when not required any more along the way.
Millions of micro®Scooters were sold throughout the world and they were and still are a bestseller. 

Scooter riders around the world have joined together in the meantime as a community and developed a new kind of sport (http://www.micro-xtreme.net).

The kick-bike was not an invention of this company. This was used for the first time in public in 1895. However it was constantly under development. There are only few products which trigger such a trend and influence the urban mobility so steadily.

Today the company develops, produces and distributes various products prescribed for mobility for children, adolescents, adults and the Swiss Army under the brand name micro®diverse. It should be possible to cover short distances sportsmanlike and without complications. The Micro Mobility Systems AG has made it its objective to play a leading role in facilitating urban life style with its qualitatively high-valued products (mobility, fitness and an orientation to trends).

The Swiss company was established in 1996 and located in the small town of Küsnacht on the Lake of Zurich. From here a young and motivated team arranges for delivery to direct customers and middlemen in almost 52 countries. Principal customers are located in  England, USA, South Africa, Australia and Scandinavia as well as those from the neighbouring countries.
